Dr. Mohammed Nayeem practised medicine in Cuttack and gave much of it away. He treated those who could not pay, and he taught his son that a life is measured by what it returns to the society around it.
Born to that humble doctor's family, Mohd. Moquim always idolised his father. Bearing his torch, he has believed since childhood in the upliftment of the society, in helping the socially backward lead a life with dignity, and in the holistic welfare of the state.
Considering his work for the social cause, he has received many national and state level awards.
