Odisha Yuva Sansad

The Odisha Yuva Sansad is a youth parliament run by the Foundation under the line: your voice, your vision, Odisha's future. Delegates are given a seat, a nameplate and a microphone, and they debate the questions a state actually has to answer.

The format is deliberately formal. There is a chair, there are speaking slots, there is a queue at the microphone, and there is an audience. Most of the delegates have never spoken into a microphone in a hall full of strangers before. By the end of the day most of them have done it twice.

The day closes with certificates handed over on stage. The Foundation covers the venue, the materials and the organisation, and there is no fee to take part.
