When the lockdown came in March 2020, the Foundation went out every day for three months.

Volunteers packed dry ration sacks in the office and loaded them onto pickups. They carried them into slums and lanes across Cuttack and the areas adjoining it, reaching more than ten thousand individuals. The photographs show masked volunteers handing packets to elderly women at their doorways, ration sacks stacked to the ceiling, and queues forming in narrow streets.

The Foundation also took continuous responsibility for more than three hundred workers stranded at construction sites with no income and no way home, supplying them food day after day until they could return.

Alongside the rations came masks, sanitisers and awareness work. The effort was covered in the Odia press at the time.
